Introduction
Now is the time to take a step deeper into the heart of God. He is calling people—all kinds, colors, sizes, ages, and backgrounds—into the mystery of His great love. He is longing to pour out His love into each individual, filling them to a point that each one overflows God's love in supernatural ways to those around us, the ones who are silently hurting, the ones who are dry spiritually, the ones who are reaching out trying to find truth. This year at the Winter Fire Conference, the great love of God is ready to meet you! Come join us!
It is with great delight that we host a close friend and "mother" from India, our dear Shampa. When asked to describe herself, she says, “I love to cook. I am a woman from the kitchen. God is not looking for someone important; He’s looking for anybody who loves Him because He wants to be found more than we want to find Him.” In our Western culture of America, we tend to have a very limited perspective, not only of the world, but also of God Himself. Believers in other parts of the world often have a very different understanding—and experience—of that reality which Jesus called "the Kingdom of God." We are ready to receive from Shampa a great impartation from the Lord.
We know that you will be blessed by the Presence of the Lord as you come to these meetings. We will be having powerful worship with John Gabriel Arends at each meeting. Come ready for more of Jesus and to be inspired in your pursuit of the Kingdom.
Speakers and Worship
Shampa is a dear friend of The River and part of our family in the nations. Shampa was raised in Calcutta, India along with five brothers and sisters.in a tiny two-room bustee (slum) in central Calcutta, across the street from Mother Teresa. God has opened the door for her to minister in the difficult, unreached areas of North and Northwest India. Many have come to Christ, many have been healed and delivered, and many house-churches have begun as a result of these meetings. Shampa has ministered extensively to the women of India, helping them find new life and hope in Christ. She is currently working to establish an orphanage/boarding school in her city, rescuing children born into brothels, giving them a chance to start a new and successful life and offering their parents a way out from a hopeless occupation by helping them start their own small businesses. In addition to her ministry in India, Shampa also speaks around the world. Shampa carries a profound ministry of love wherever she goes, demonstrating the heart of the Gospel and the power of love. Rolland and Heidi Baker made Shampa and her husband the directors of Iris Ministries in India. Visit irisindia1040.com for more information.
Paul Arends and his wife Margie are the senior pastors of The River in Kalispell, MT. Paul is an anointed teacher and is known for training believers to heal the sick like Jesus did. His desire is to see believers know the Father like Jesus did and to live the way that Jesus did. Paul and Margie have been involved in planting churches and leading mission teams into other nations, equipping those local believers and churches in power ministry. They are pursuing a mandate from the Lord to provide a resource center that impacts Montana, Wyoming, the Northwest region, and several nations around the world. To this purpose, Paul and Margie founded Fire School, preparing disciples for the harvest. For more information about their ministry at The River, you can browse this website, and you can also learn more about Fire School at GiveMeFire.com.
John Gabriel Arends is the worship and young adults pastor at The River. He frequently leads worship at churches, conferences, and events locally and across the United States. John also leads worship in foreign nations, seeking to change the spiritual atmosphere of those nations and encouraging the local worship teams there. John has written many cutting edge worship songs that are being sung around the US and the world. To find out more about John and to listen to his music, visit johnarendsmusic.com.
