Our Vision for 2026

Many people live their lives in response to the chaos of the world around, reacting to the constant whirlwind of changing circumstances and trying to appease the demands of the millions of voices that all have an opinion of what they should do with their lives. And somehow, in the middle of all that, people are trying to find what truly satisfies their souls. Tragically, the things that matter most often get postponed to the last place. The things we say are our passion end up being forgotten, and our priorities get demoted to wishful thinking.

But not this year. Not for us. “As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”

As a church family, we are going to put God first. We are going to bring every part of our lives back into alignment with the One who matters most. In a complicated world, Jesus speaks clearly: “Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these other things will be added to you as well” (Matthew 6:33). Before this year takes on a life of its own, we are making first things first. For the first portion of the year, this will be our focus—learning how to put God first in every aspect of our lives. When we give Him the first place, the rest will be blessed. We invite you to join us.

Nightly Prayer and worship

We will be setting aside the first full week of January to seek the Lord corporately. Each night at 7:00PM, beginning on Monday (January 5) and going through Saturday (January 10), we will gather for 1 hour to pray and worship. These will be focused, intense times of seeking the Lord, and we hope that you can attend as many as possible. We will be gathering in Theater 4, so please use the North doors, not the coffee shop doors.

Fasting for Focus

In addition to our gatherings, we are inviting you to join the whole church in a week of fasting. There are many ways to participate. Even if you do not fast from food, we strongly encourage everyone to at least do a social media fast. Fasting is one of the most powerful tools we have to focus on the Lord. Pastor John has written an extremely helpful Intro to Meaningful Fasting that you can read here:

Read the Bible This Year

It is hard to know God’s will, to know His truth, or to discern His voice if you don’t know what the Bible actually says. But this can be the year that changes for you! Most people are scrolling on their phones for far more time than they’d like to admit—but what if this year you traded that for knowing God better? We have put together 2 guides to help you get deeper in the scriptures this year. One Bite at a Time is our guide that divides the Bible into 365 daily sections so that you can read the whole thing from cover to cover in just a year! We also have a reading plan to help you get through the whole New Testament in year with just one chapter, 5 days a week. Choose one, and make this year count!
